How to get a stacktrace
When something goes wrong in DiffPlug, the software will try to suggest possible fixes. If none of the suggestsions solve the issue, double-click the red "x" icon and you will get a stacktrace dialog.
This stacktrace will have more details, including system configuration information which is useful for debugging.
Application hang
If the DiffPlug UI ever hangs or becomes unresponsive for five seconds or longer, it will log information about any hung threads to a file called ~/.diffplug/error_logs/<largest integer>. The logs are cleared after twenty-four hours. You can view the last few errors of this sort (along with other possibly-useful debugging info) in the Error log, which you can open from the command console.
